***Important Registration Notes***
Players or teams cannot register for the A-level, and C-level category of the same event. Players can, however, register at the A-level in one type of event (e.g. Men’s Singles) while registering at C-level for a different event (e.g. Men’s Doubles or Mixed Doubles).

Exception applies to Collegiate players who can participate in Collegiate AND an A or C-level in one type of event. (e.g. Collegiate Men?s Doubles and Open A Men?s Doubles/or Open C Men?s Doubles)

Players can register for up to 4 events. Additional events will require special permission and granted at the discretion of the Tournament director.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to combine or cancel events as needed due to number of registrants.

Players register before January 18th can purchase a tournament shirt for $5, thereafter, the tournament shirt will be $15.

PRIZES
Prize Money will be awarded to Open A, C, and Senior events.
All other event winners will receive Yonex merchandise.
Medals will be awarded to Winners, Runner-Ups, and Consolation winner.

Tentative Schedule:

2/6 Friday: 4:00pm Registration, ALL Singles events start at 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
2/7 Saturday: 8:30am Registration, All Categories events start at 9:00am – 6:00pm
2/8 Sunday: Event starts at 10:00am and continue to 3:00 pm

Entry Fee & Event Eligibility:
All events are $25.00. Junior and Collegiate events are $20.00
Players are allowed to participate in maximum of 4 events. Entry fees have to be paid via www.tournamentsoftware.com before the deadline. It is the entrant?s responsibility to confirm that his or her entry is correct including the event(s) entered.

The registration deadline for all events is Wednesday, January 28, 11:59 PM (EST) – NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED

Lunch can be purchase via the online registration process. Peruvian chicken rice @ $7.50.

Conditions:
1. YONEX tournament grade shuttles will be used throughout the tournament.

2. Consolation draws will be held for each event except those played as round robins or pools because of entry size.

3. All matches will be the best of three games to Badminton World Federation (BWF) 21 points with rally-point scoring system (both main and consolation draws).

4. A player not ready to play 10 (ten) minutes after his/her match is called may be defaulted.

5. Each Player in a doubles partnership must submit separate entry forms.

6. Acceptable badminton clothing must be worn during play.

7. Players participating in any A-event cannot play in the same C-event, or vice versa.

8. To ensure competitiveness the tournament committee will ensure that participants of C-Events are of the appropriate skill level.

9. Senior events are open to players who are over the age of 40 (men) or 35 (women) as of 2/6/2015.

10. Entry fees will not be eligible for refund unless the tournament committee is notified at least 48 hours prior to the start of play and only in case of illness, injury or other significant circumstance as approved by the committee.

11. The tournament committee reserves the right to change any of the above conditions.

In consideration of my being permitted to participate in this competition, I release and discharge UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Badminton Club, Serve N Play, LLC, their employees, agents, officers, members, heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators and any and all participants in this event harmless for any bodily injury to myself or others, or for damage to, or loss of, my property incurred during the course of the event.

I have read this Release of Liability and Waiver Agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I have given up substantial rights by agreeing to its terms freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
